Spurs Have a “Hot Game” -Literally

by Yusuf Gadlin

The San Antonio Spurs won Game 1 of the NBA finals 110- 95 Thursday night. San Antonio broke the game open in the 4th quarter going on a 31-9 run. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 21 points and 10 rebounds and got help from super sub Manu Ginobili who had 16 pts and 11 assists. San Antonio took advantage of the final 7:36 of the 4th quarter when Miami Heat superstar LeBron James starting cramping due to the fact of broken air conditioning,

King James could be head on the sidelines begging for water during timeouts.

LeBron was even heard saying, “they’re trying to smoke us out” as if San Antonio knew this was going to happen. Temperatures reached 90• degrees throughout the arena.  Both coaches admitted the heat impacted the game but enough excuses!

San Antonio Spurs capitalized and seized the moment, as for now they are 3 wins away from being world champs. If Danny Greene keeps hitting open 3’s and if Ginobili keeps jumping into the hot tub time machine before every game the Spurs will be well on their way to a fifth franchise title.
