Thirty-six-year-old Kobe Bryant is still putting the ball in the basket with the best of them. The superstar leads the NBA in scoring averaging 26.0 points a game, but nowadays it seems like he needs 30 shots to do so. As it stands today The “Black Mamba” needs 99 points to pass Michael Jordan for third on the all-time scoring list. This personally has to be one of Kobe’s greatest goals; and the fact that it is in arm’s reach has to be satisfying with all the losing going on in Lakers town.
But if you know the Kobe Bryant Psyche, you know he is all about championships–and it is hard as it say he will NEVER win another championship in a Lakers uniform. And what hurts even more is the fact that he seem to be at peace with that. It seems Kobe will be happy as a five-time champion and passing Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list oh as well as having the distinct honor of ending his career with one franchise, something Michael Jordan can never say.
It seems Kobe is content playing with mediocre talent, It seems he has swallowed his pride and will never fix his lips to ask for a trade.
Nope not gonna happen.
Kobe Bean Bryant is a Laker for life, and rightfully so. The franchise he plays for is the Titanic that has hit the iceberg. Rather than being privileged to escape the ship that is sinking, Kobe has chosen to go down with his teammates and owners and ultimately meet his fate.
And there is no shame in that.
