The Golden State Warriors are your 2015 NBA champions.
They proved the haters wrong, and showed the world you can win it all with the three-point shot. Golden States Stephen Curry has exploded on the scene as the NBA’s newest and freshest face. His dribbling display, his never before seen shooting touch, and his will to win has the basketball world captivated. Never has a player of this magnitude proved the impossible, possible. Curry was supposed to be some skinny kid with ankle problems and a good shooting stroke. Today, Curry is a top two player in the league and the owner of the best shooting stoke in NBA history. Stephen Curry is the true definition of practice, repetition, and faith.
The 67th win of the Golden State Warriors will be remembered as one of the greatest teams in NBA history. Once again to be a champion in the NBA, you have to be willing to sacrifice for your teammates and cast your ego aside. You have to stay connected through adversity, and weather the storm during turmoil times that will happen eventually in a NBA season. Its how hard your team leader practices, how much life and supports he breathes into his teammates, is he truly buying into the team concept or is he out to secure a hefty endorsement deal. Is it “We instead of “I”. The Golden State Warriors chose “WE” and as a result are champions of the world.
So bring on the Oklahoma City Thunder, the forever aging San Antonio Spurs, the sporadic Los Angeles Clippers, and bruising Memphis Grizzlies. The Golden State Warriors will be ready to defend not only their Western conference crown but the Larry O’Brien trophy all opposer’s will try to take from them. The question is are the Warriors hungry enough to repeat, hungry enough to prove the naysayers wrong that they only won the championship because of opponents injuries. I believe the Golden State Warriors were a team of luck and a team of destiny. They were in the right place at the right time, and took advantage of every situation like they should have.
Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors, however when the partying is done and all of the confetti has settled, you are going to have to work harder than ever before to repeat as NBA champions.
But for now enjoy your tremendous accomplishment, and let the haters be envious for at least the summer.
